Baptism by Immersion - We are excited that you are interested in baptism.
At Harborside Christian Church, we believe baptism is an outward symbol that
a person has entered into a relationship with Jesus Christ. We immerse because
we believe Scripture shows that Jesus modeled it for us as the method for publicly
acknowledging faith in Him.
The baptism process has been designed to be both simple and meaningful. Each
step has been carefully planned with you in mind:
An informational DVD is available further explaining baptism -- who should
be baptized, and what it symbolizes. Pick up a Baptism DVD at the CONNECT Desk
or at the Kiosk in the Lobby.
Register for a Baptism Orientation where you may discuss questions you have
and/or video tape your baptism testimony.
Record your video testimony. We believe the video testimony will be one
of the most powerful aspects of your baptism at Harborside, allowing you to share
how Christ has been working in your life. prerecording allows you to do as many
takes as necessary, while sharing the message you have thoughtfully prepared
ahead of time. We as a congregation grow in our faith by watching these life-changing
stories. We want baptism to be a meaningful and enjoyable
experience, and we
look forward to walking through it with you.
Get Baptized! Baptisms take place during one of the Sunday morning services,
in most cases on the last Sunday of the month.
Communion - We invite followers of Jesus to
participate in Communion (Lord's Supper). This central element of our weekly
worship is both a celebration
of our salvation and a remembrance of the Lord's sacrifice that secured it.
We ask that you prayerfully consider if this dimension of our worship is appropriate
for you and encourage anyone with questions to talk with one of our ministers
or elders.

is to join or fasten together. But to us personally, connecting
